TUC Members Storm Ministry of Finance headquarters in Abuja Over Unpaid Allowances.
On Tuesday, members of the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC) staged a protest at the Federal Ministry of Finance headquarters in Abuja, picketing the premises over unpaid allowance arrears and other emoluments.
The protesters blocked the main gates to demand payment of unpaid allowances and emoluments.
The workers, dressed in red T-shirts, stopped movement in and out of the ministry, in order to express their frustration over delayed welfare payments and other concerns.
The TUC’s action is part of a broader labour agitation across Nigeria, with workers demanding for payment of emolument and backlog of allowance.
